# Introduction

> Send WhatsApp messages from your own software with GetReply.

The GetReply API lets your website, app or CRM send WhatsApp messages through your GetReply account: templates, one-time codes, replies, files and whole campaigns. You get every status back by webhook.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Only message people who agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp.

## What you need

* A GetReply account on the **Pro** plan, with your WhatsApp number connected.
* An **API key**: make one in the app under **Developer → API keys**.
* Money in your wallet. Each message is charged at the same price as in the app.

## The address

Every request goes to:

```
https://api.getreply.in/v1
```

Answers are JSON. Times are India time (IST), money is in rupees as text.
